Monday, and I want to get to KC early enough to find a motorcycle shop. The Bandit will hit 8,000 miles today and needs new tires. I'm down to about 1/16" of tread on the rear.

The ride today was a mixture of good and bad. Highway 156 was fairly good, although to straight to be any fun. Interstate 70, even though it had lots of hills, was, well, dull. What can I say? I like country roads best.

I checked into a motel in Kansas City, Missouri. Yep, crossed another state line. The bad news: there are NO motorcycle shops open on Monday! Sigh.

I called my brother Tommy, who lives about 125 miles east of KC to let him know that I would arrive sometime Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday morning I'd have to locate a motorcycle shop with tires and a service department that would install them.

At least I get to sleep in tomorrow. None of the shops will be open before 9:00AM so I'll grab some coffee and a newspaper in the morning and just relax until I have to start making phone calls.
